What a crazy time we’re living in and real estate has also had many unexpected twists and turns. As we turn our attention to a new year, I’m sure you have questions about what’s to come for our housing market and economy. So I thought I’d share insights from Windermere’s Chief Economist, Matthew Gardner. He recently provided his own data-informed housing market forecast for 2021. It’s very positive, filled with good news and nuggets, and who doesn’t need some of that?! Watch and enjoy!
Gardner’s 2021 Housing Market Forecast
My Thoughts & What I’m Seeing on Bainbridge
Professionally, I agree with Gardner’s positive outlook. In fact, it feels like many buyers are leaving the city to find their piece of the island lifestyle. Some are even looking all across the Kitsap Peninsula for their ideal home.
Since COVID-19 looks like it will stick around for a bit longer and many are able to work from home, there’s definitely a shift in people’s mindsets. Our idea of work-life balance has changed. Many are focusing more on their quality of life. They want more space, a safe community with top schools, and access to recreational activities that COVID-19 won’t put a stop to – outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, and going on beautiful drives.
If this positive news strikes a chord in you, and you’d like to chat about a move in this direction, please feel free to contact me. We can find your slice of paradise in Kitsap County. As always, it’s my pleasure to assist you!
